The two words that make life heavier...

20 Notes to Self you should read daily until they truly sink in (Link at the end)

Read time: 5 minutes

🌞Hey’all - Good morning!

There is a quiet kind of exhaustion that comes from always saying:
"I'll manage."

You don't ask for help.
You don't delegate.
You don't tell anyone you're struggling.

You keep solving things yourself.

At work.
At home.
With money.
With family.

Until something small starts feeling enormous.
Being independent is a strength.
But doing everything alone isn't always strength.

Sometimes it's simply a habit.
And that habit can make life much heavier than it needs to be.

Today’s Ritual

Try the "Help, Not Rescue" Method

Asking for help doesn't mean handing your problem to someone else.
It means asking for one specific piece of support.

Instead of:
"I'm overwhelmed. Can you help me?"

Try:
"Can you handle this one task today?"
"Can you review this before I send it?"
"Can you listen for five minutes? I don't need advice."
"Can you pick this up on your way home?"

Specific requests are easier for people to understand and easier for you to make.

3 Small Changes

● Replace "I'll do it" with "Who can help?"

When a new task appears, pause.

Ask:
"Does this actually have to be done by me?"

If not, delegate it.

● Ask before you're exhausted

Don't wait until you're at breaking point.
Small help requested early can prevent a much bigger problem later.

● Let people contribute

Sometimes we refuse help because we think we'll do it faster ourselves.
But relationships aren't built only through receiving perfect results.

They're also built through allowing people to participate.

Today's Motivation

S.H.A.R.E.

S: Spot what is becoming heavy
H: Hand over one small task
A: Ask clearly
R: Receive without guilt
E: Express appreciation

You don't need to become dependent on others.
You simply don't have to prove your strength by carrying everything.

Affirmation for the Day

“I am strong enough to ask for help and wise enough to receive it.”

Today's 5-minute Challenge

Look at everything on your mental list.
Choose one thing you don't have to handle alone.

Ask someone for specific help.
Then let them help.

No long explanation.
No apology.
No "It's okay, I'll do it myself."

Just:
"Could you help me with this?"

Sometimes making life lighter doesn't require doing more.
It requires allowing someone else to carry one small piece.

Strong people need support too.
