☀️ The LET-GO method

Release one grudge, reclaim your light in 10 minutes

Read time: 3 minutes

🌞Hey’all - Good morning! Let softness set the tone for tomorrow.

Ever notice how some weeks feel heavier than they should without any clear reason? Often, it’s not the workload or the noise around us, but an old grudge, a small hurt, or a quiet resentment we’ve been carrying without realizing it. That invisible weight seeps into focus, energy, and even mood. The good news? You don’t need hours of reflection to set it down.

Today’s note offers a simple, safe practice you can do in just a few minutes, one that helps you release the hold of old stories, breathe a little easier, and step into the day feeling lighter, clearer, and more present.

Today’s Feature

Small Habits, Big Impact - The LET-GO Method

Some weeks feel heavy not because of what’s happening today, but because of old grudges or quiet resentments still lingering in the background. These unfinished loops quietly drain focus and energy. The LET-GO Method offers a simple, safe way to close just one of those loops not with perfection, but with gentle completion.

L - List (90 sec): Write the name or situation that still tugs at you. Notice your body—tight jaw, shallow breath, or heavy shoulders are good clues.

E - Explain (2-3 min): Answer three quick prompts:
• What am I holding this for?
• Where do I feel it in my body?
• What do I choose instead? (peace, freedom, energy).

T - Tell (30 sec): Read this aloud:
“I choose to let go. I free myself. My past will not decide my future.”

G - Ground (2-3 min): Close the loop physically: tear the page into pieces, fold it under a stone or book, or try the Water Witness—place a glass nearby, repeat your line, sip three times (arrive • gratitude • intention).

O - Open (2 min): Mark your choice with a small action: text yourself “I chose peace at 10:42,” step into sunlight for a minute, or tidy one square foot of space.

Why it works: Naming moves the story from looping to language. A spoken line plus physical closure signals your brain: this episode has ended. The present-moment cue tells your nervous system you’re here, now, and lighter.

Gentle reminder: If your situation involves trauma or safety concerns, avoid direct contact with harmful people and seek support from a qualified professional.

A Tiny, True-to-Life Shift

Sometimes it’s not the workload that weighs us down but the quiet anger or old stories we keep carrying.

Aanya, a school going girl, held onto tension from a broken friendship. She tried the LET-GO method, just one name, three short lines, and then tearing the page. To anchor it, she used the Water Witness: placing a glass beside her, speaking her release line, and taking three calm sips. That afternoon, something shifted. She finally tackled a task she’d been avoiding for days. “It felt like someone turned a dimmer down,” she said. Not magic, just proof that when we clear space inside, energy flows back where it’s needed most.

C.L.E.A.R. Sunday Reminders

Sundays work best when they’re light, steady, and freeing not overloaded with chores or endless scrolling. Here’s a simple guide to carry you into the new week with ease:

C - Choose one: Pick just one thing to release a name, a page, or a small loop. Keep it tiny.

L - Lower your shoulders: Pause for two slow breaths: inhale 4, exhale 6. Let your jaw soften.

E - Exchange the loop: Close it physically: tear the page, place it under a stone, or use the water cue. Your body remembers closure.

A - Anchor a joy pocket: Carve out 30-60 minutes for no-phone “us time” or a quiet solo walk.

R - Record one proud line: End the day with: “I chose peace once today.”

Pin C.L.E.A.R. on your fridge or phone, it’s a gentle compass to reset your week.
