Made the wrong choice? Try this before you blame yourself...

Quantum shift is the missing link: Learn how to shift realities (Link at the end)

🌞Hey’all - Good morning!

You made a decision.
Maybe you bought something expensive.
Took a job.
Left a job.
Trusted someone.
Said yes.
Said no.
Started something.
Walked away from something.

And now, you're wondering whether you made the wrong choice.
The mind starts creating alternate versions of your life.

"What if I had chosen differently?"
"I should have known."
"Why didn't I see it earlier?"
"Everything would be better if I had made another decision."

But there's a problem with regret.
You are judging an old decision with information you only have today.
And that's rarely fair.

The goal isn't to convince yourself that every decision was right.
The goal is to learn from it without becoming trapped inside it.

Spiritual Reminder

You will make decisions you wouldn't make today.

That's inevitable.
Because you are not the same person you were when you made them.

You have more information.
More experience.
More awareness.

That doesn't mean your past self deserves your anger.

Perhaps that version of you was simply doing the best they could with what they understood at the time.

Give them some compassion.
Take the lesson.
Make the adjustment.
Keep moving.

You don't need to approve of every decision you've made.
You just need to stop allowing old decisions to control new ones.

Today’s Ritual

The "Then vs Now" Technique

Take a piece of paper and divide it into two columns.

WHAT I KNEW THEN
and
WHAT I KNOW NOW

Write down the decision you're regretting.
Then honestly list what information you had at the time you made it.

Maybe you didn't know what you know today.
Maybe circumstances changed.
Maybe someone behaved differently later.
Maybe you made the best choice available with the information you had.

This distinction matters.

A bad outcome doesn't always mean it was a bad decision.

3 Techniques

● The "Lesson, Not Punishment" Method

When you catch yourself thinking:
"I was stupid."

Change it to:
"What did this teach me?"

Maybe you learned to read contracts more carefully.

Ask better questions.
Set clearer boundaries.
Research before investing.
Trust actions more than promises.
Take more time before committing.

A mistake becomes more valuable when it produces a new rule for your future.
Don't pay for the same lesson twice.

● The "One rule forward" Technique

Take the decision you regret.
Now create one personal rule from it.

For example:
"I don't make large purchases when I'm emotionally upset."
"I don't accept important offers without sleeping on them."
"I discuss major financial decisions with my partner first."
"I don't ignore repeated red flags."
"I ask for clarity instead of assuming."

One regret.
One lesson.
One new rule.

Then stop.
You don't need to analyze the event 50 more times.

● The "Repair or Release" Check

Ask yourself which of these two categories the situation belongs to:

REPAIR
There is something I can still do.
Make the call.
Apologize.
Correct the mistake.
Renegotiate.
Change the plan.

RELEASE
The decision cannot be changed.
The opportunity has passed.
The person has moved on.
The money is already spent.
The past cannot be rewritten.

If it's repair, take one action.
If it's release, stop searching for a different ending.

This simple distinction can save enormous mental energy.

Today's Motivation

R.E.G.R.E.T.

When regret starts taking over:

R: Review what happened
E: Examine what you knew then
G: Gain the lesson
R: Rewrite the rule
E: Execute what can still be changed
T: Turn toward the future

That's the difference between reflection and rumination.
Reflection gives you something.
Rumination keeps taking from you.

Affirmation for the Day

"I learn from my past without living in it.
I use my experience to make wiser choices and give myself permission to move forward."

Today's 7-minute Reset

Think of one decision you still regret.

Write:
What happened: __________
What I knew then: __________
What I know now: __________
What this taught me: __________
My new personal rule: __________

Finally:
Repair or Release?

If you can repair it, choose one action.
If you can't, close the page.

Take a deep breath.

And remind yourself:
The decision belongs to the past.
The lesson belongs to you.
The next decision is still yours to make.

Sometimes peace doesn't come from proving that the past decision was right.
It comes from making sure the next decision is wiser.
