A 5-minute practice to feel guided, grounded, and grateful

🌞Hey’all - Good morning! Start the week in calm, not clutter.

Today marks the start of a fresh cycle of devotion in many homes, and there’s no need for noise or fanfare to honor it. Instead, we can welcome it in a quieter way by pausing and tuning into the still, steady place within.

That inner voice, the one that softly whispers “You’re guided”, is always there, waiting for you to notice. To connect with the Divine, whatever form or meaning it holds for you, begin with one small practice: place a hand on your heart, take a slow breath, and simply feel. No rituals required, just presence.

Let this moment remind you that guidance is already within, ready to walk beside you today.

Today’s Feature

Light & Listen (5 Minutes, Anywhere) 

Mondays can scatter us before we even begin. This practice offers a gentle way to center yourself with nothing more than a light, a little water, and one quiet promise.

Step 1: Arrive (30 sec):
Sit tall, one hand on your heart, one on your belly. Breathe in for 4, out for 6, twice.

Step 2: Light (30 sec):
Switch on your candle, diya, or torch. Think: “May this light also rise within me.”

Step 3: Listen (2 min):
Repeat one short line 9 times, softly or inwardly:
- “I am guided.”
- “I am protected.”
- “I am grateful.”
Notice your breath soften as the words settle in.

Step 4: Bless (1 min):
Touch a fingertip to the water, then lightly to your forehead or wrists:
“Let clarity, kindness, and courage flow through me today.”

Step 5: Offer (1-2 min):
On a slip of paper, write one simple act of service you’ll do today, call a parent, share food, help a colleague, pick up litter. Place it beneath the glass of water. Your intention is now anchored.

Step 6: Close (10 sec):
Blow out the flame (or switch off the light). Whisper: “I trust the timing of my life.”

 Family version: Invite everyone to share one word they want more of this week, peace, strength, joy and place the words in a bowl beside the light.

D.I.V.I.N.E. Monday Reminders

Mondays can feel heavy if we rush in without pause. The D.I.V.I.N.E. reminders are a simple, grounding way to guide your day with clarity, steadiness, and a touch of lightness, practical steps you can return to again and again.

D - Drink three small sips before messages:
Arrive in the moment with gratitude and intention before you open your inbox.

I - Inhale/Exhale:
Try the calming breath: in for 4, out for 6. Use it before starting a big task or entering a tricky conversation.

V - Voice one appreciation:
Say one genuine thank-you out loud at home or at work. Specific gratitude shifts the tone of your day.

I - Illuminate your space:
Open your curtains in the morning or light a small lamp at dusk to invite calm brightness.

N - Notice kindness:
Catch one small act of kindness around you and add your own, even if tiny.

E - Ease the evening:
Soften lights 45 minutes before bed. Write one proud line to close your day with peace.
