Read time: 5 minutes
🌞Hey’all - Good morning!
You decide to read every night, exercise every morning, or meditate for ten minutes a day.
For the first few days, everything goes well.
Then work gets busy, you feel tired, or you simply don't feel like doing it.
One missed day becomes three.
Eventually, the habit disappears from your routine.
The problem may not be your lack of discipline.
You may be relying too much on motivation to remember and begin the action.
A better approach is to connect a new habit to something you already do every day.
Spiritual Reminder
Put it into Practice
Instead of saying, “I'll meditate sometime tomorrow,” create a clear connection:
After brushing my teeth, I'll meditate for two minutes.
After making my morning tea, I'll read one page.
After lunch, I'll take a five-minute walk.
After plugging in my phone at night, I'll write one line in my journal.
Notice the pattern: After I do X, I will do Y.
Your existing routine becomes a reminder for your new habit.
You don't have to depend entirely on remembering it or feeling motivated.
Today’s Ritual
🧘 The A.N.C.H.O.R. Method
Give your new habit a familiar place in your existing routine.
A ~ Attach it to something you already do.
N ~ Name the moment when it will happen.
C ~ Choose a tiny action you can manage on an ordinary day.
H ~ Hold it simple. Avoid adding unnecessary steps.
O ~ Observe your progress without demanding perfection.
R ~ Repeat until the action starts to feel more natural.
Today’s Motivation
Make the habit easier to begin, even on days when motivation is low.
Don't wait for motivation to create a routine.
Let your routine help you show up when motivation is missing.
Affirmation for the Day
“I don't need to feel motivated every day.
I can build consistency through small actions and simple routines.”
Today's Challenge
Choose just one habit you've been struggling to maintain.
Connect it to a routine you already follow, and make the action small enough to repeat even on a busy day.
Don't aim for an impressive beginning.
Aim for an easy return tomorrow.
Don’t limit your challenges. Challenge your limits.
